The legal person, named clearly
You were born a living man or woman. Flesh, breath, will. That is the only thing in this whole story that was not made on paper. Everything else, every form, every account, every demand for tax or fine or fee, runs on a second thing: a legal person attached to your name shortly after birth, recorded in capital letters, treated by the system as a unit it can summon, charge, and bind.
The legal person is not you. It was created, on paper, by people who never met you, while you were a few days old and could not consent to anything. It was given your name. Since then, almost every interaction you have had with the state has been addressed to it, not to you. Bills, notices, threats, offers, all of them speak to the person.
When you answer as if you and the person are the same thing, you take on every liability that comes with the person, and you give up every standing the living being holds that the person can never hold.
What the split changes
Statute is rules for fictions. It binds the things the lawmakers created. It does not, of itself, bind a living man or woman who has not contracted into it. Common law, the lawful inheritance of these islands, recognises one rule before any statute: do no harm, cause no loss, commit no fraud. Anything beyond that is offered, not imposed.
The legal person, by contrast, is bound by statute the moment it exists. It was born owing. It is, by design, a willing party to everything done in its name unless you, the living being, deliberately step in front of it and say otherwise.
What this course teaches
How to see the split clearly enough that you stop answering for the person by reflex. How to write to the agencies in a way that puts the question on the record without inviting an arrest. How to refuse new attachments quietly. How to handle the pushback when it comes, because it will come.
This is not a trick. It is not a hidden door. It is the slow work of withdrawing consent that was never lawfully given, and holding the line while the system tries every angle to get you to consent again.
Hold this in mind
The other side will tell you, through every channel they have, that the distinction is meaningless and that you and the person are the same party. They have to say that. The whole administrative apparatus depends on you accepting it. Your job is not to argue with them. Your job is to act, in writing, on the record, from the position of the living man or woman you are. Quietly. Repeatedly. Without theatre.
