Eisenhower's warning. The CIA's Five Star Trust.

How an off-books drug and money laundering operation became the largest piggy bank in history.

Eisenhower came in. Under his administration the modern intelligence apparatus was built, and on his way out the door he made a televised speech that nobody watching at the time fully understood. He told Americans to keep an eye on the military industrial complex. He used the word conspiracy. He called the danger global in scope, atheistic in character, ruthless in purpose, insidious in method. He said it would persist for the rest of his life and the rest of theirs.

He was not warning about the Soviets in that speech. He was warning about the men who were already inside the building.

Under his watch a structure was set up inside the CIA called the Five Star Trust. Five men ran it. George Bush senior. Richard Armitage. General Edward Lansdale. William Colby. General Robert L. Ferreira. The five would, over the following decades, take turns occupying the directorship of the CIA itself, ensuring continuity of command over the operation regardless of which president sat in the Oval Office.

The objective of the Five Star Trust was to set up the largest drug and money laundering system in the history of the planet. It was given two operational names. Operation Studebaker handled the drug pipeline. Operation Clean Room handled the money cycle. The combined operation was run out of Kentucky by a man called Marion Horn.

The point of the operation was funding. The CIA needed an off-books budget that did not require congressional approval, because going to Congress for money meant disclosing operations, and disclosing operations meant the operations could be stopped. With the Five Star Trust, money came in through the drug trade, was washed through a network of banks set up by the Rothschild banking family in coordination with what is sometimes called the Thirteen Banking Families, and then sat in a fund that was used to bankroll covert action without any elected official knowing the totals.

By the late 1980s that fund had grown to a number that is hard to write down with a straight face. Two hundred and thirty quadrillion dollars. That is two hundred and thirty followed by fifteen zeros. It does not appear in any national budget. It does not appear in any audit. It is the operating capital of a shadow government bank account that has been earning compound interest for half a century. Some who have looked at it call it the sustainable development fund. Others call it Lucifer's piggy bank. The label does not matter. The number does.

Money on that scale is no longer a budget. It is gravity. It bends the orbit of every government on the planet. It funds every regime change operation, every colour revolution, every NGO, every think tank, every front foundation. It is the silent investor behind the institutions that lecture you on values, on inclusion, on sustainability, on equity. The vocabulary always sounds good. The vocabulary is paid for from the same fund.

John F. Kennedy understood what was happening. Within months of taking office he gave the speech that would mark him for death. He talked about a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that operated by infiltration rather than invasion, by subversion rather than elections, by intimidation rather than free choice. He described, in diplomatic language, the Five Star Trust without naming it. He said the press had a duty to expose it. He created United States Special Forces, in part, to give the executive a parallel military arm that did not have to obey the conventional chain of command captured by the same conspiracy.

Ten days before he was assassinated, Kennedy signed Executive Order 11110, authorising the issuance of silver certificates by the Treasury, an instrument that bypassed the Federal Reserve entirely. He was bringing honest money back into circulation. He had begun the process of pulling the lien out from under the entire shadow operation.

He was killed in Dallas on the twenty second of November 1963. The silver certificates were quietly withdrawn. Bush senior, by his own later admission and by long since declassified documentation, had been involved in the operational planning of attempts on Kennedy's life on five separate occasions before the successful one. He went on to run the CIA. He went on to be Vice President. He went on to be President. The man who tried five times to kill John F. Kennedy ran the country.

Reagan came in through the same machine. He saw enough of what was happening that he made repeated public speeches warning the American people, in language that referenced Eisenhower's warning and Kennedy's warning. His most extraordinary was the rendezvous with destiny address. Listen to it without the historical wallpaper for a moment. Listen for the distinction he draws between accommodation and surrender. He is not talking about the Soviet Union. He is talking about the people who have already infiltrated his own administration.

The man who tried five times to kill John F. Kennedy ran the country.
